CLASSES 2023

Classes are already filling so call and put your deposit down or buy a Gift Certificut before the class is full.

If hitting a piece of white hot steel with a hammer sounds like fun, this class is for you! Step back in time and witness the once familiar scene of the village blacksmith churning away before a blazing hot fire, showering themselves with pin-point sparks of light with each ping against the anvil. Once a familiar scene the automation of the industrial revolution changed all that.

Now you can have the opportunity to see what being a blacksmith was like, without investing in a shop or equipment. Learn the tools of the trade and their uses. Learn proper hammer control and techniques.

Classes will be held periodically throughout the year, and consist of all day Saturday through late afternoon and all day Sunday. Class size will be limited to six students to provide ample individual attention.

At the end of the class each student goes home with a working knowledge of almost all the processes and techniques that a blacksmith needs, and several functional pieces of art that they have made entirely themselves.
This weekend course is designed for those with an interest in blacksmithing but have no previous experience. We cover the fundamentals as to what is needed to be a blacksmith including safety, tools, resources, and references. 16 + hours of instruction and supervision.

The class schedule for basic blacksmithing classes for 2022. Class dates are filled by calling me and paying a $150 deposit. The cost of the Basic class is $300.00 per person witch covers all materials and lunch both days. Advanced classes are $450 per person witch covers all materials including lunch both days. A $225 deposit is required for advanced classes. Classes are four to six (4-6) students in size and are 9 to 5 both days.  You can schedule an out of cycle class for your group but must fill the class. Class dates are subject to change, but we try not to.

If you are not able to make your class date and you let me know 10 days before the class date your deposit will be applied to a future class. Less than 10 days and your deposit is non refundable .

Dates may change due to events beyond my control. A 50% deposit guarantees your spot in the class. Deposits are non refundable but can be moved to another class date if there is enough time to fill your class seat. I will work with you.
